Organic Acai:

The Acai berry comes from a palm tree that grows in the flood plains of the Amazon River. For thousands of years, Brazilians have used acai berries to treat digestive disorders and skin conditions, and as an astringent and blood cleanser for fever, for jaundice, parasites, anemia, diabetes and liver disease.

The Acai berry has one of the highest ORAC values (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity, a test tube analysis that measures the total antioxidant power of a food) of any plant in the world. Recently much research has been done on the high levels of anti-oxidants in the berries and the effects on cancer cells. A study at The University of Florida showed that acai extract triggered a self-destruct response in up to 86 percent of leukemia cells tested.

The Acai berry contains vitamins B1, B2, B3, Vitamins E and C, Phosphorus, Calcium, Potassium, fiber, proteins, Omega 6 (Linoleic Acid) and Omega 9 (Oleic Acid) which have been shown to be beneficial in lowering LDL ("bad" cholesterol).

Acai, which contains anticianine, has powerful anti-oxidant properties, which lower cholesterol and fight free radicals. It is also one of the richest sources of iron available and contains fiber, which helps digestive disorders.

Organic Alfalfa:

Alfalfa is a rich source of Vitamins A, B-Complex, C, D, E, K, biotin, carotenes, calcium, phosphorus, choline, inositol, PABA, octacosonal, iron, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium, chlorophyll, and many other nutrients.

Two tablespoons of Alfalfa leaf contain: Twice as much calcium as an ordinary glass of milk. Almost as much protein as one hamburger. Nearly the same amount of iron as two ounces of liver. Enough B-complex to soothe upset nerves. Plenty of enzymes for good metabolism of ingested fats.Sufficient fiber to lower high cholesterol

Alfalfa sprouts are one of the richest dietary sources of phytoestrogens. Studies in humans, animals, and cell culture suggest that dietary phytoestrogens play an important role in prevention of menopausal symptoms, osteoporosis, cancer and heart disease. Alfalfa sprouts are a significant source of isoflavones, which have been shown to lessen menopausal symptoms by balancing estrogen levels when they are low.

Organic Apple:

Apples are an alkaline food. They contain pectin, which works as a gentle, nonirritating stimulant, aiding in bowel elimination. Apples contain high amounts of calcium, and vitamin A. In fact, apples contain 50% more vitamin A than oranges. They are rich in vitamin C, which is essential for healthy bones and teeth as well as vitamin B, which maintains nerve health.

According to Dr. Bernard Jensen, apples are high in vitamin G. "This is called the" appetite vitamin", and promotes digestion and growth." Apples are good for high blood pressure, the lymphatic system and are powerful blood purifiers. from Foods that Heal, by Dr. Bernard Jensen

Organic Barley Grass:

Barley Grass is a whole food loaded with essential vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, beta-carotene, calcium, chlorophyll, fiber and many more nutrients your body needs every day. Barley grass contains eighteen amino acids, including the eight essential ones-that is, the amino acids that we must get from our diet. The body cannot produce them itself.Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins, which are the major constituents of every cell and body fluid (except urine and bile) and are thus necessary for the continual cell building, cell regeneration, and energy production that we need for life.An added benefit of the green barley leaf proteins is that they are polypeptides; smaller proteins that can be directly absorbed by the blood, where they promote cell metabolism (the chemical changes that we need to live) and neutralize substances that are bad for our health. Green barley leaves contain a multitude of the body's spark plugs, enzymes. Enzymes are the catalysts for the body's essential chemical reactions and are responsible for our digestive processes, for providing cellular energy, and for antioxidant effects.Barley Grass also contains chlorophyll. Chlorophyll has been studied for its potential as a deodorant, in stimulating tissue growth, and in stimulating red blood cells in connection with blood supply. Perhaps most remarkable is the similarity between chlorophyll and the red pigment in blood. Research in the 1940s demonstrated that the two pigments react the same during breakdown.

Barley Grass has a high alkalizing effect, which helps keep the ratio between acidity and alkalinity in our body fluids balanced. Our cells cannot adequately function if the pH (which measures acidity and alkalinity) is not within a narrow normal range. Most processed foods are acidic, and when we consume too many of them, the acid-alkaline balance is upset.

Organic Bilberry Fruit:

Bilberry is also called Whortleberry, Huckleberry and European Blueberry. The dried berries and leaves have been recommended for scurvy, urinary tract infections, kidney stones and diarrhea. Modern research on bilberry was kick-started by British World War II pilots, who noticed that their night vision improved when they ate bilberry jam prior to night bombing raids. The plant appears to assist the retina, the light-sensitive part of the eye, in adjusting quickly to both dark and light. Bilberry is also strongly antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial. Extracts of bilberry have proven antiviral in cell culture for herpes simplex virus II, influenza, and vaccinia viruses. Bilberry kills or inhibits the growth of funguses, yeasts, and bacteria. It also kills protozoans such as Trichomonas vaginalis.

Organic Blue-Green Algae:

AFA (Aphanizomenon Flos Aquae) Blue-green algae is a fresh water, edible, nutritional algae that is harvested in Upper Klamath Lake in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Algae have been eaten in various forms for thousands of years. It is packed with beta-carotene and B-Complex biologically active vitamins, enzymes, chlorophyll, fatty acids, neuropeptide precursors (peptides are joined amino acids), lipids, carbohydrates, minerals, trace minerals, pigments and other essential growth factors. It contains all eight essential amino acids and both semi-essential amino acids. It is a concentrated source of arginine, known to build and tone muscle tissue. Most importantly, the essential amino acid profile of AFA is virtually identical to that required by the human body. No vital amino acids are wasted.

Algae have a very nutritious, easily digested, soft cell wall. This allows rapid absorption of vital nutrients with 95% assimibility, at almost no cost to the body's digestive energy supplies. Most of the nutrients in AFA are active and in forms that are directly useable by the body.

Some of the reported benefits of Blue-Green Algae are:

  • Delays pre-mature aging by repair of cellular damage and elimination of toxins
  • Improves mental focus and ability to concentrate
  • Increases energy
  • Boosts immune system
  • Helps maintain blood sugar levels
  • Purifies and nourishes the blood
  • Increases endurance, strength and metabolic function
  • Improves skin, hair and nails
  • Improves elimination, digestion and assimilation

Organic Brown Rice Protein:

Brown Rice Protein is a vegan, hypoallergenic protein. Brown Rice Protein is extracted from brown rice but retains the nutrients and health benefits of brown rice. It is high in iron, magnesium, manganese, and selenium and is a natural source of insoluble fiber. It is gluten-free, and low in fat and carbohydrates. Brown Rice Protein includes 19 amino acids including all nine essential acids, making it a complete source of protein.

Chlorella (Cracked Shell Algae):

Is a nutrient-dense superfood that contains 60% protein, 18 amino acids (including all the essential amino acids), and various vitamins and minerals. Its deep green color comes from chlorella, which contains the highest amount of chlorophyll of any know plant. Chlorella is 3-5% chlorophyll, which is one of the greatest food substances for cleansing the bowels and other elimination systems, the liver and the blood. Chlorella is natural and the vitamins and minerals in it are bio-chelated, which means they are naturally wrapped in amino acids so the body will more readily take them in.

Chlorella has tough cell walls, which protect its genetic integrity and provide an outstanding ability to eliminate toxins, pesticides and heavy metals from the body. The cell wall will not break down for absorption, however, so cracking the cell wall is the only way the body can digest it. One of chlorella's unique properties is a phytonutrient called CGF. CGF is a nucleotide-peptide complex found in the nucleus of the chlorella cell. There are many species of chlorella, but only Chlorella pyrenoidosa was found to be rich in the CGF and nutrients. Chlorella has been used as an energy-producing food in Asia for centuries. In Japan, it is traditionally used as a treatment for duodenal ulcers, gastritis, hypertension, diabetes, hypoglycemia, asthma, and constipation. More recently, it is has been touted as an effective therapy for elevated cholesterol levels, a prophylactic to ward of infections and, as an adjunct treatment for cancer. Chlorella is now used as an adjunct supplement during radiation treatment for cancer. Chlorella contains many vitamins including: B-complex vitamins, (B-1, B-2, B-3, B-6, pantotheneic acid, folic acid, biotin, PABA, inositol, and B-12), vitamin A, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, iodine, and phosphorus.Research conducted in Japan suggests that chlorella may have anti-tumor activity against breast cancer. However, its main use in cancer therapy is to help remove radioactive particles from the body after radiation treatment.

Note: The Chlorella we use is tank-grown, so it has never been touched by chemicals or pesticides. For this reason, it is actually organic, though the USDA will not label it as organic.

Organic Garcinia Cambogia:

Has been used for thousands of years in the Orient as a food supplement. It is used as an appetite suppressant and to inhibit the absorption and synthesis of fat, cholesterol and triglycerides. It is also called Brindel Berry, Uppagi, Gamboge and Malabar Tamarind. It contains an alkaloid called Hydroxy Citric Acid, which helps in controlling the formation of fat in the body. It also helps in digestion and has antiseptic properties.Garcinia cambogia extract is the calcium salt of hydroxy citric acid, obtained from water extract of Garcinia cambogia fruit. It is a non-toxic, tasteless, odorless powder and found to be an effective herbal medicine for controlling obesity and cholesterol by inhibiting lipogenesis in our body. Hydroxycitric acid (HCA) is a fruit extract with a chemical composition similar to citric acid (the primary acid in oranges and other citrus fruits). Preliminary research, based on laboratory experiments and animal research, suggest that HCA may be a useful weight loss aid. HCA has been demonstrated in the laboratory (but not yet in clinical trials) to reduce the conversion of carbohydrates into stored fat by inhibiting certain enzyme processes. Animal research indicates that HCA suppresses appetite and induces weight loss. One case report found that eating 1 gram of the fruit containing HCA before each meal resulted in the loss of 1 pound per day. However, much more research in human populations is needed to determine the effectiveness of HCA as a weight loss aid.

Organic Ginkgo Biloba:

Medicinal use of Ginkgo leaf tea is ancient in Chinese herbal medicine. It helps clear the mind and improve the power of concentration. Modern clinical trials have demonstrated the usefulness of ginkgo in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease, age-related cognitive decline and depression.Ginkgo's flavone glycosides and terpene lactones increase circulation to the brain and other parts of the body, as well as exerting a protective action on nerve cells. Ginkgo's antioxidant activity in the brain and central nervous system may help prevent age-related declines in brain function. The brain and central nervous system are particularly susceptible to free radical attack. Free radical damage in the brain is widely accepted as being a contributing factor in many disorders associated with aging, including Alzheimer's disease. The 1997 Commission E on Phytotherapy and Herbal Substances of the German Federal Institute for Drugs recommends a dry extract from the dried leaf of Ginkgo Biloba for symptomatic treatment of disturbed performance in organic brain syndrome.

Organic Goji Berry (Wolfberry):

Wolfberry (Lycium barbarum) has traditionally been used in China for a number of conditions including diabetes, fatigue, cancer, poor vision, and infertility. More recent research has found Wolfberry, which contains flavonoids, to inhibit growth of leukemia and liver cancer cells. It may also have anti-fatigue properties.

Goji has nineteen amino acids and contains all nine essential amino acids, which are essential to proper body functions. Goji has higher levels of vitamin C than oranges and has more protein than whole wheat. Goji contains 21 trace minerals, including germanium, a trace mineral rarely found in foods. Goji also contains Beta-Sitosterol, an anti-inflammatory agent. Goji has a complete spectrum of antioxidant carotenoids, including beta-carotene (a better source than even carrots) and zeaxanthin (protects the eyes). Goji berries are among the richest source of carotenoids of all known foods. Goji also contains complex B-vitamins.

Goji is a great source of essential fatty acids, which are required for the body's production of hormones and the smooth functioning of the brain and nervous system. Scientific research on Goji over the last 10 years demonstrated great promise for Goji in the areas of weight loss, allergies, arthritis, anti-aging and cardiovascular health.

Organic Gotu Kola:This medicinal herb is considered an important part of the Ayurvedic healing tradition. In recent times, clinical studies demonstrate its effectiveness in increasing mental and physical power, improving memory, concentration, and mental clarity.

It is rich in the B Complex vitamins and helps to combat stress, improve reflexes, relieve high blood pressure, and mental fatigue. Recent studies have suggested that Gotu Cola improves cerebral blood flow and circulation, thereby allowing oxygen rich blood to penetrate deep into the brain from nativeremedies.com

Organic Grape Seed Extract:Grape Seeds contain Vitamin E, flavonoids, linoleic acid, and compounds called procyanidins (also known as condensed tannins, pycnogenols, and high concentrates of oligomeric proanthocyanidins or OPCs). The medicinal health benefits of grapes have been utilized since ancient times by the Egyptians and Greeks. Grape leaves were used for treatment of inflammation, pain, hemorrhoids, constipation and sore throats.

Recent studies have show grape seed to be highly beneficial for its anti-oxidant properties by significantly increasing the levels of anti-oxidants in the blood. Anti-oxidants neutralize the affects of free radicals (compounds resulting from the build-up of toxins in the body which can cause cell damage, pre-mature aging, heart disease, cancer and death).

Other studies have shown that grape seeds may reduce the risk of heart disease by lowering LDL ("bad") cholesterol as well as lowering high blood cholesterol and high blood pressure. Grape seed extract has been shown to reduce the pain and inflammation in patients with pancreatitis. Laboratory studies have found that grape seed extract prevents the growth of breast, stomach, and lung cancer cells in test tubes. Grape seed extract was also effective in preventing damage to human liver cells caused by chemotherapy medications.

In addition, grape seed extract has been used by professional herbalists to treat symptoms of poor circulation, including varicose veins, as well as for age-related macular degeneration, night vision, photophobia (sensitivity to light) and to reduce or reverse the effects of free radical damage.

Contra-indications: Not to be used by pregnant or breast-feeding women.

Organic Green Tea Extract:

Green tea has long been used by the Chinese for its medicinal benefits. They used it for headaches, digestive disorders, body aches and longevity. Green tea has high levels of polyphenols (a bioflavonoid), which may reduce the risk of a variety of illnesses, including cancer and coronary heart disease. In addition, green tea is a rich source of EGCG, an anti-oxidant that is over 200 times more potent than Vitamin E in fighting free radicals and pro-oxidants.

Green tea extract has been shown to have thermogenetic qualities and promotes increased metabolism and fat oxidation, resulting in weight loss. It works without increasing heart rate or causing jitters. Green tea extract helps reduce the risk of heart disease, cancer and liver failure.

Many studies have shown the strong anti-cancer link with human cancers including bladder cancer. A UCLA study done on bladder cancer showed the potential of green tea extract as an anti-cancer agent, proving for the first time that it is able to target cancer cells while leaving healthy cells alone. It has been shown to induce death in cancer cells, as well as inhibiting the development of an independent blood supply that cancers develop so they can grow and spread.

Organic Hemp Protein:

Hemp seed is exceptionally high in protein, second only to soybean. Hemp protein contains all 20 amino acids including the 9 essential amino acids, which our bodies cannot produce, making it a complete protein.

Hemp protein is free of the tryspin inhibitors which block protein absorption and free of oligosaccharides found in soy, which cause stomach upset and gas.

Approximately 65% of the protein in hemp seeds is made up of the globulin protein Edestin and is found only in hemp seed. Edestin aids digestion, is relatively phosphorus-free and considered the backbone of the cell's DNA. The other one-third of hemp seed protein is Albumin, another high quality globulin protein similar to that found in egg whites.

Some of the reported benefits of Hemp Protein are:

  • Excellent source of essential fatty acids including Omega 3, 6 and GLA (Gamma-Linolenic Acid)
  • Lower blood LDL cholesterol levels
  • Lower blood pressure
  • Improve cardiovascular circulation and function
  • Improve organ function
  • Improve immunity levels
  • Increased energy levels and metabolic rate
  • Reduce symptoms of PMS and menstrual cramps
  • Reduce inflammation and symptoms of arthritis
  • Improve recovery of muscles after exercise
  • Reduce and treat dry skin and hair conditions
  • Reduction of many degenerative diseases through preventative measures

Organic Licorice Root:

Licorice has properties that sooth coughs, consumption, chest complaints and bronchitis

The 1997 Commission E on Phytotherapy and Herbal Substances of the German Federal Institute for Drugs recommends Licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) for catarrhs of the upper respiratory tract and gastric/duodenal ulcers. Licorice's triterpene glycyrrhizin has been shown to prevent liver injury from such agents as carbon tetrachloride, benzene hexachloride and PCB. Glycyrrhizin aids antibody production and inhibits the growth of several DNA and RNA viruses, irreversibly inactivating the Herpes simplex virus.

Organic Noni:

This wandering plant is native to Malaysia, Australia, and Polynesia. Noni (Morinda) has also been cultivated in India, the Philippines, and throughout Southeast Asia. Ancient manuscripts cite Morinda as an ingredient in numerous health preparations. Morinda's historical uses have targeted the digestive, intestinal, respiratory and immune systems. It is particularly useful for supporting the nervous and skeletal systems, especially painful joints, and for skin health. Dr. Schechter, director of the Natural Healing Institute in California, reports that there has been a wealth of information supporting the traditional uses and health benefits of Noni. His work supports what the Kahunas (traditional healers in Hawaii) have known and used beneficially for thousands of years. He confirmed in an interview that the positive results obtained by physicians using Noni were consistent with the results obtained by naturopathic clinicians. Dr. Schechter has treated hundreds of patients with Noni and has been very impressed with the variety of illnesses that responded to Noni. The following gives a synopsis of some important data concerning Dr. Schechter's clinical investigations: Noni stimulates the production of T-cells in the immune system. T-cells play a pivotal role in fighting disease. Noni acts to enhance the immune system involving macrophages and/or lymphocytes, which are a vital part of your body's natural defenses. Noni has been shown to combat many types of bacteria.Noni has unique anti-pain effects. Noni inhibits pre-cancer function and the growth of cancer tumors by allowing abnormal cells to function more normally. Noni increases body energy. Noni alleviates pain. Noni acts as anti-inflammatory and anti-histaminic agent. Noni has antibacterial properties that can protect against digestive and heart damage.Noni works with melatonin and serotonin to help regulate sleep, temperature and mood cycles. * Noni inhibits precancerous function and growth of cancer tumors.

Organic Oat Sprouts:

Oats provide a significant source of important antioxidants including beta-carotene, vitamins C and E, B vitamins (including folic acid) and 20 amino acids (including the nine essentials). Its natural zinc content is especially useful for regeneration after high physical stress, including intense sexual activity. Oat sprouts are also an excellent source of well absorbable Silicic Acid, which is known to be very important for the human connective tissue. Foods that have been processed do not contain a sufficient quantity of Silicic Acid.

Oat sprouts also contain plant hormones that can have a positive effect on the human hormone system.

Organic Olive Leaf:

Olive leaves have always had a reputation as a health-enhancer. Modern research is centered on the olive leaf's powerful antibiotic, antiviral and antifungal properties, which support the immune system and yet do not harm beneficial bacteria.live leaf contains oleuropein and several types of flavonoids, including rutin, apigenin, and luteolin. leuropein has been experimentally shown to decrease blood pressure and dilate the arteries surrounding the heart. leuropein inhibits the unhealthy oxidation of the "bad" LDL cholesterol. LDL oxidation is a precursor to hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis). Mediterranean people, who eat plenty of olive products, have a lower rate of atherosclerosis than those who don't.leuropein is converted in brine into elenolic acid, which has been clinically shown to have antibacterial actions against several species of human-infecting bacteria. In 1962, an Italian researcher reported that oleuropein lowered blood pressure in animals. This triggered a flurry of scientific interest in the olive leaf.ther European researchers confirmed this interesting finding. In addition, they found it could also increase blood flow in the coronary arteries, relieve arrhythmias, and prevent intestinal muscle spasms.Around this time, a Dutch researcher determined the active ingredient in oleuropein to be a substance he called elenolic acid. It was found to have a powerful anti-bacterial effect.By the late 1960's, research by scientists at Upjohn Pharmaceuticals, showed that elenolic acid also inhibited the growth of viruses. In fact, it stopped every virus that it was tested against. Among others, the substance was found to counteract a variety of viruses associated with the common cold. The research suggests that this may be a "true anti-viral" compound because it appears to selectively block an entire virus-specific system in the infected host. It thus appears to offer healing effects not addressed by pharmaceutical antibiotics.

Organic Quinoa:

Quinoa is considered one of the "supergrains" because it is so extraordinarily rich in nutrients. It is not really a grain, but the seed of a leafy plant that is distantly related to spinach. It contains up to 50% more protein than most other grains and is one of the best sources of vegetable protein in the vegetable kingdom.

The World Health Organization has rated the quality of protein in quinoa at least equivalent to that in milk. It is an excellent source of calcium, iron, B vitamins, and lysine, an amino acid the body needs to make protein. It is a good source of magnesium, zinc, copper, and manganese and has some folic acid. From: wholehealthmd.com

Organic Raw Agave:

Agave is derived from the cactus-like Agave Tequilana plant in Mexico and was a favorite food of the Aztecs. It is a plant-derived, natural sweetener with a glycemic index of only 11 (the glycemic index for glucose or refined white sugar is 100), so it has less of an impact on blood sugar levels.

Agave is 50% sweeter than white table sugar, so much less is needed to sweeten. Agave is an alternative for those trying to cut down on high-glycemic sweeteners and empty carbohydrates.

Organic Soy Lecithin (non-GMO):

Provides a naturally-occurring combination of Phosphatidyl Choline and other valuable phospholipids.Just one tablespoon supplies a rich source of Choline (approx. 250 mg), almost as much as one egg, but without the cholesterol.Lecithin is important in preventing arteriosclerosis and assisting in protecting against cardiovascular disease. Lecithin protects cells from oxidation, and helps make up the protective sheaths surrounding the brain. Using lecithin can improve brain function and has also been known to promote energy. Lecithin is manufactured in the body by choline and inositol. It is composed mostly of B vitamins, phosphoric acid, choline, linoleic acid and inositol. Lecithin is high in phosphorous and combines with iron, iodine and calcium. W.S. Hartroff, M.D., Ph.D., reported in the American Journal of Public Health that the lack of choline was a precursor in infants for high blood pressure. Furthermore, it has been found that a tendency to high blood pressure induced by a choline deficiency cannot be reversed. Interestingly enough, human milk contains lecithin while cow's milk does not.Lecithin aids in the absorption of thiamine by the liver and is needed to help repair the damage to the liver caused by alcoholism. Although it is a fatty substance, it is also a fat emulsifier: lecithin enables fats, such as cholesterol, to be dispersed in water and removed from the body. Hence, it also supports the circulatory system by preventing fatty buildup in the arteries and vital organs. Without sufficient lecithin, the body cannot utilize the fat soluble vitamins A,D, E, and K. Lecithin improves the digestion and utilization of these vitamins.Researcher Lehninge, in his book Biochemistry, found that proper function of the sex glands and improved sexual function in general are often attributed to sufficient lecithin in the diet. Lecithin forms naturally in all living cells of the body, and acts as an emulsifier. It helps keep fatty substances in bile. Lecithin eases digestion and helps your body absorb valuable nutrients. Lecithin helps to maintain the structural integrity of cells, says Steven Zeisel, MD, Ph.D., professor and chair of the department of nutrition at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. "Without lecithin, nothing would survive, because you wouldn't be able to separate the various compartments within cells, nor would you be able to separate cells from each other."

Organic Spirulina Algae:

Spirulina is nature's richest whole-food source of antioxidants. It contains a spectrum of every natural antioxidant known, including: the antioxidant vitamins B-1 and B-6; the minerals zinc, manganese and copper; the amino acid methionine; and the superantioxidants beta-carotene, vitamin E and trace element selenium. A highly digestible food, spirulina is at least 60% vegetable protein, which is predigested by the algae. It is higher in protein than any other food. Proteins are essential in human food. They supply the metabolic chain with nitrogen and essential amino acids. The nutritional quality of protein from specific sources depends on the quantities of essential amino acids and the bioavailability of those amino acids to the organism that ingests protein. Proteins act also as metabolic regulator on different parts of the digestive system.1 tsp of Spirulina contains 280% DV Beta Carotene, 110% B12, 15% Iron, 2% Calcium and no fat. Its outstanding nutritional profile also includes the essential fatty acids, GLA fatty acid, lipids, the nucleic acids (RNA and DNA), B complex, vitamin C and E and phytochemicals, such as carotenoids, chlorophyll (blood purifier), and phycocyanin (a blue pigment), which is a protein that is known to inhibit cancer. The carotenoids and chlorophyll may also contribute to Spirulina's anticancer and apparent immunogenic effects.Spirulina is two to six times richer in B12 than its nearest rival, raw beef liver. Spirulina is 58 times richer in iron than raw spinach.Spirulina is nature's richest whole-food source of Vitamin E. It's 3 times richer than raw wheat germ and its biological activity is 49% greater than synthetic vitamin E.Spirulina is nature's richest whole-food source of Beta-Carotene (Pro Vitamin A). It's 25 times richer than raw carrots. Unlike the preformed vitamin A of synthetics and fish liver oils, Beta-Carotene is completely nontoxic even in mega doses.Spirulina is nature's richest whole-food source of Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA). Its oils are 3 times richer in GLA than evening primrose oil. Studies have indicated that GLA helps lower blood cholesterol and high blood pressure and eases such conditions as arthritis, premenstrual pain, eczema and other skin conditions.Spirulina is nature's richest whole-food source of Complete High-Biological Value Protein. Compare:Spirulina - 60-70% Soybeans - 30-35% Beef - 18-22% Eggs - 12-16% Tofu - 8% Milk - 3%
