What is Cell-nique?

It is a new health drink containing super greens, vegetables, super fruits, vegetable proteins, and healing herbs. It's a delicious, nutritious, energizing green drink.

How and where was Cell-nique formulated?

By Dan Ratner, Head Greenologist as well as nutritionists at The Institute of Integrative Nutrition and physicians at Integrative Medical Care New York City. It is mixed in an organic bottling plant in New Orleans.

What can Cell-nique do for me?

Cell-nique may help to boost your immune system: it may promote an alkaline environment in your body which makes your body more resistant to illness and disease such as cancer; it may detoxify and rejuvenate your cells and organs; it may increase your energy levels and may improve mental acuity. How does Cell-nique help me to detoxify?

The cause of degeneration, decay and premature aging lies in free radicals in the body. Free radicals are created as a result of accumulation of toxins in the body. These toxins come from the environment (pollution), unhealthy eating habits (foods with chemicals, preservatives, antibiotics), unhealthy living style (smoking, lack of sleep, stress, over-stimulation, lack of exercise) and emotional patterns (unresolved psychological issues). This build-up of toxins leads to the creation of free radicals.

It is necessary to rid the body of these toxins and restore the cells to their normal functioning otherwise illness and disease may result. Antioxidants, such as Vitamins C, E, A, Selenium and carotenoids deactivate free radicals. Cell-nique contains every antioxidant in the spectrum. Spirulina alone is nature's richest whole-food source of antioxidants. In addition, the other important aspect of detoxifying the body is through colon cleansing. Food must be eliminated within 18 to 24 hours from the colon otherwise auto-intoxification can result. (Undigested food can become toxic to the body). The best way to insure proper assimilation and elimination is to eat and drink a diet of vegetables and whole, unprocessed, all natural foods and to keep the body in an alkaline state. The apple fiber, alfalfa, broccoli, spinach, lecithin, and herbs such as Licorice Root and Garcinia Cambogia found in Cell-nique may aid the body in digestive processes and elimination.

How does keeping the body alkaline help me?

The body functions best when blood pH is in the narrow range of 7.35 - 7.45 (on a scale of 1 - 14). This narrow range is where the blood is most alkaline. Above 7.45 and the body becomes too alkaline. Below 7.35 and the body becomes too acidic and the blood becomes oxygen deprived. The predominant health problem for people consuming the "typical American diet" (processed foods, chemicals, sugar, soda, meat, coffee, tea, refined white flour) is over-acidity. When the blood pH becomes overly acidic, the immune system may weaken, making one possibly vulnerable to cancer and other diseases. In addition, the body cannot assimilate vitamins, minerals and other nutrients, and its ability to repair damaged cells and detoxify are impaired. Fatigue and illness may result. Research shows that unless the body is slightly alkaline, the body cannot heal itself. Green vegetables, grasses and algaes (the ingredients in Cell-nique) are all alkaline foods and make the body more alkaline. This is one of the main benefits of drinking a green drink. Is Cell-nique Organic?

It is 95% organic. We use only the highest-grade ingredients and used organic wherever possible. The fruit in Cell-nique is certified organic, all natural. There is nothing artificial in Cell-nique. The fruit flavor is naturally extracted from the fruit in a process that is 100% Organic compliant, without synthetics or petrochemicals. Cell-nique only uses natural, 100% organic compliant processing with no petrochemicals or synthetics.

Why isn't the chlorella organic? Where do you get it?

All our Chlorella is tank/lab grown and it has never been touched by a chemical or preservative. There is no certified organic chlorella available anywhere in the world right now. Our supplier is in California and they get it from Japan.

Does Cell-nique contain any soy?

Yes, there is Soy Lecithin in it, but only a small amount..

How is Cell-nique made?

It is flash-pasteurized (heated to 190 degrees). It is a required and necessary process to kill bacteria and molds.

How is Cell-nique preserved?

It is preserved naturally with Ascorbic Acid (vitamin C) that pulls all the oxygen out of the drink, making it inert (inactive). When the bottle is opened, the ingredients become active again. You need to refrigerate Cell-nique after opening.

Are there live enzymes in Cell-nique?

Yes! Though the product was flash pasteurized, many heat-resistant enzymes were retained in the product. We have had it analyzed in an independent lab that revealed plenty of live enzymes. Some of the enzymes in pineapple and Spirulina are heat-resistant.

What is the anti-oxidant content?

Cell-nique's ORAC is around 1400 that is about 10 times the antioxidants as the leading Pomegranate drink and about 7 times those of the leading Acai drink. ORAC is the lab value for anti-oxidant content in a food or beverage.

Can I drink Cell-nique if I have Celiac Disease (a severe gluten intolerance)?

No, it contains barley grass juice, wheat grass and oat grass juice. Cell-nique should be fine for people who have only a slight wheat or gluten intolerance or sensitivity.

I have high-blood pressure. Can I drink Cell-nique?

Cell-nique contains Licorice Root that is contra-indicated (not recommended) for people with high-blood pressure, people with diabetes, glaucoma, heart disease, or stroke. It should not be consumed during pregnancy. There is only a small amount of licorice root but people with the above conditions or that are pregnant should check with their physician before consuming Cell-nique.

Is Cell-nique okay for people with Diabetes?

Many of the ingredients in Cell-nique can be beneficial to people with Diabetes but you need to check with your physician first to see if it is appropriate for you, because it does contain some sugar (from 12-20 grams per bottle), though this is comparatively very low compared to other health drinks on the market. [Some of the Naked and Odawala drinks contain 50 + grams of sugar per bottle).

Bilberry leaves have traditionally been used to control blood sugar levels in people with diabetes. Some modern day reports of individuals with type 2 (adult onset) diabetes as well as animal studies suggest that this traditional use may have merit. Spirulina and Blue Green Algae help to stabilize blood sugar levels. Vegetables lower the level of fats in the blood and stabilize blood sugar levels. People with diabetes should be vigilant about watching blood fat and cholesterol levels. Grape Seed Extract: studies have shown that grape seeds may reduce the risk of heart disease by lowering LDL ("bad") cholesterol as well as lowering high blood cholesterol and high blood pressure. Garcinia Cambogia has been used for thousands of years in the Orient as a food supplement. It inhibits the absorption and synthesis of fat, cholesterol and triglycerides, and contains Hydroxy Citric Acid, which helps in controlling the formation of fat in the body. Animal research has shown Hydroxy Citric Acid to suppress appetite and induce weight loss.

Is there sugar in Cell-nique?

There is no refined white sugar in it. It is sweetened with Agave (from the cactus plant), Stevia (an herb) which are all-natural sweeteners with a low-glycemic index. This means it is absorbed much slower into the bloodstream than sugar. This low-glycemic index is 11 compared to white sugar, which is about 100. There is also a touch of pineapple syrup in the Apple, Citrus Vanilla, Tropical Fruits, and Pomegranate flavors.

What kind of Blue-green algae is used?

It is from Kalamath Lake in Oregon. AFA is the same algae found in E3 Live (a popular Algae product).

What are the Citrus flavors in Citrus Vanilla?

What are the fruits in Tropical Fruits?

Is the product Kosher?

Yes, it is all vegetables, ha never touched meat or dairy, and is made in a facility that is Kosher, but we haven’t paid extra for certification by a rabbi.

Is it Vegan?

Yes

Is there caffeine in it?

There are 9 milligrams per bottle. For comparison, coffee has 100 milligrams.

Can you mix it with alcohol?

Yes. As a matter of fact, we sometimes sponsor Green-tini parties at Organic restaurants.

I already take vitamins. Why would I need a green drink?

The Super Greens and Vegetable Proteins in Cell-nique are some of the highest sources of vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, fatty acids and amino acids found in food. In addition, Cell-nique may assist in cleansing the colon of undigested food, which ferments in the system and causes toxicity. Why is the Shrink Sleeve plastic?

The shrink sleeve is made of PET plastic which is a biodegradable plastic that does not leach into the drink. It is the same plastic used by many bottled water companies. It is recyclable.
